    RON REED

Agrees with the Tomatometer 82% of the time.

Biography: Ron spends way too much time in theatres. In movie theatres, you'll find him in the audience, from the start of the first trailer until the last credit has rolled. In "that other kind of theatre," he'll be one of those people up front, waving their arms a lot and talking loud. He started Vancouver's Pacific Theatre in 1984 so he could act in any play he wanted, and he's ended up a playwright as well. While there's nothing wrong with a decent sermon now and then, it's stories that feed Ron's spirit, mostly. Alarmingly eclectic, his favorite "soul food" movies include Tender Mercies, all three Lord of the Rings films, The Year Of Living Dangerously, American Beauty, Magnolia, The Son, A Walk To Remember and Bad Lieutenant. Ron is working on a book, Soul Food Movies: A Guide to films with a spiritual flavour. Check it out at www.soulfoodmovies.blogspot.com

" The film tries to do way too much: it's a mess. But, crude misjudgments aside, it's a tremendously entertaining mess." — Christianity Today
