    MICHAEL T. GRACE

Agrees with the Tomatometer 83% of the time.

Biography: I was born in 1978, and grew up as a child of the eighties. What does that mean? I'm not really sure. You could say I'm "Generation X", but that's not any more specific. I'm also a twin, and I have a brother who looks almost identical to me. His name is Mark. Living life as a twin has its ups and downs. Someday I'll figure out what the upsides are. Right now, I'm just aware that many people have trouble telling us apart. He has no interest in writing movie reviews, and I do. We have nothing in common really-- except for we share many genes. I've been writing reviews for a couple of years now-- ever since I started college. I study Digital Design in the hope of getting a job in the special effects field. If that doesn't pan out, I can always work on website design. I love intellectual sci-films and movies that integrate special effects in service of the story. "Contact" and "Titanic" are movies that are excellent examples of this. Too many films flash special effects in our face, just to show them off. ("Spawn"..."Lost in Space"). I'm also excited about the recent advent of totally digital movies like "Toy Story". I can't wait to see what "A Bug's Life" and "Antz" look like. I would list all the movies that are "the best" (according to me)... but I won't. I'm not old enough to have seen all of the classics, and I'm not a film student. So I don't think I've seen all of "the best" just yet. I am working on that, though. I'm young and goofy. I could even be considered a "movie dork". A dork mind you. Not a geek. No... definately not a geek. My friends call me the "king of useless information". I don't think it's useless information. It's all important to me.
