Biography: Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved film. From the time I was about 3, I’ve come up with tons of ideas for movies, and have kept them all my life (there are countless notebooks in my house filled with my stories and ideas!). I’ve been an avid filmgoer for years, and have always been the first person my friends and family members go to when they’re looking for movie information.
Only in the past few years, however, have I gotten really serious about movies and film criticism. I started reviewing every movie I saw about 3 years ago, and my website celebrated its 1 year anniversary this past January.
Also in the past year, I’ve written 3 movies myself—“Power Surge”, a comedy about a man whose brain is experiencing a ‘power surge’, “Another Planet”, a comedy that lampoons all soap operas, and “The Prototype”, a suspense thriller about two brothers who get lost in the woods after a GPS prototype malfunctions. I am currently finishing writing a boxing comedy entitled “Everlast”, and a drama called “Pandora”, about the internal emotions that can trigger tragic actions (If any producers or directors are visiting the site, feel free to send me an e-mail!).
Tennis is my other passion. I play as often as I can. Other than film criticism, playing tennis is thing I love doing most.
My inspirations for being a film critic have always been the two most famous of all critics—Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert. Their love of film always amazed me, and over the years, I have developed quite a passion for it myself. When Siskel died a year ago, I was definitely grief-stricken. After watching him and reading his reviews every week, it was like losing a friend.
I am the probably the world’s #1 Roger Ebert fan, visiting his website more than once a day and never missing an episode of “Roger Ebert & The Movies”. My biggest goal—other than writing, directing, and starring in a major motion picture and/or winning the French Open—is to be a guest host on the show.
Right now, I am going keep playing tennis and watching movies. There just may be time to do a few other things as well. I hope to go to some film festivals over the next few years, and will continue to keep running my site, adding new sections as I think of them.
