    BLAKE DAVIS

Agrees with the Tomatometer 83% of the time.

Biography: I grew up here in Oklahoma City, was accepted to NYU Film School but couldn't afford it, so I went to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder on a scholarship. Have worked for several movie studios and done a little modeling, and through it all, have continued writing movie reviews (I've been doing it for newspapers and magazines since I was 11 years-old). Am currently finishing my first book.
Favorites: Pauline Kael once said that great movies are rarely perfect movies, and the movies we tend to watch over and over and grow to love are even less perfect, I've discovered. The ones that continue to get me are: Gus Van Sant's Drugstore Cowboy, Running On Empty, Aliens (directed by James Cameron), Bull Durham, Dazed and Confused, Wonder Boys, Almost Famous, Evil Dead 2 and almost anything by David Lynch. Paul Thomas Anderson has kicked my butt in the last few years. And I think I like Election more each time I watch it.
