Alice Eve (born February 6 1982) is a British actress.
She has starred in television dramas including the BBC's The Rotters' Club, Poirot and Hawking, as well as the film Stage Beauty (2004).
Eve plays significant roles in two 2006 films: Starter for Ten and Big Nothing. She spent the early part of 2006 in India working on a new drama mini-series Losing Gemma about backpackers. She made her professional stage debut in Trevor Nunn and Tom Stoppard's latest production Rock 'n' Roll at the Royal Court Theatre in the summer of 2006.. For this performance she was recently nominated for the best supporting actress award at the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards.
Background
Eve is the daughter of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan and the eldest of their three children. She was raised in the UK and Los Angeles. Eve attended Bedales and then did her A-Levels at Westminster School in London. She took a gap year before studying English at Oxford University.
She is currently rumoured to be dating her Rock 'n' Roll co-star Rufus Sewell. She previously enjoyed a relationship with actor Rafe Spall who she met while working on The Rotters' Club; and was once named sixth most eligible woman in Britain by Tatler magazine[1].
