Elias Koteas (born on March 11th 1961 in Montréal, Canada) is a Greek-Canadian actor.

Koteas graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is a member of the Actors' Studio.

His parents are both of Greek descent, and he speaks Greek fluently.

Koteas is probably best known for his film portrayal of the character Casey Jones in 2 of the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films (he didn't appear in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze).

He has also had noteworthy roles in the Denzel Washington thriller, Fallen as the demon-possessed serial killer Edgar Reese. He's appeared in Atom Egoyan's Exotica, Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line and David Cronenberg's Crash. Koteas also made an appearance in the Season 2 Finale of House. In the finale, Koteas played a man who shot doctor Gregory House. Elias' most recent movie was "The Greatest Game Ever Played," a Disney biography about a young golfer. Up next is the thriller "Skinwalkers" and "Zodiac" in 2006.

He and fellow actor Christopher Meloni are often mistaken for each other.
