George Duke (born 12 January, 1946 in San Rafael, California) is a piano and synthesizer pioneer. He is known for his own work as well as for his collaborations with composers such as Frank Zappa and Stanley Clarke. He earned a bachelor's degree in music from the San Francisco Conservatory in 1967. In 2001, French House duo Daft Punk used a looped sample from the intro to Duke's song "I Love You More" in their song "Digital Love".
Duke attended Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley.
