Ione Skye Leitch (born September 4, 1971 in Hertfordshire, England) is an actress. She is the daughter of Scottish singer Donovan and Jewish American model Enid Karl.
Her most popular performance was in the 1989 film Say Anything. She made her film debut in the dark River's Edge in 1986, and played the title character in The Rachel Papers (1989). In 1992, she played the role of Elanore Grey on the short-lived TV show Covington Cross.
When she turned 16, she became involved in a relationship with Red Hot Chili Peppers member Anthony Kiedis. The relationship ended, however, because of problems resulting from Kiedis' frequent drug use. Late Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Hillel Slovak died from overdose at the house she and Kiedis lived together in.
Her first husband, Adam Horovitz, is a member of the popular musical & legendary hip hop group the Beastie Boys. She left him for model Jenny Shimizu. She married her second husband, David Netto, in March, 2001. They have a daughter, Kate Netto, but were divorced in 2004. Ione is reportedly bisexual, as can be read in Anthony Kiedis' biography 'Scar Tissue'.
