Jonathan Liebesman (born September 15, 1976, Johannesburg, South Africa) is a film director who has worked primarily in the horror film genre.
His debut feature was Darkness Falls. The films success (it recouped its $11 million budget through the opening weekend) brought him to the attention of Michael Bay and his production company, Platinum Dunes, who hired him to direct the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel entitled The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.
