Kestie Morassi is an Australian actress born in Adelaide, Australia, where she lived until she was 13 years old. She is currently best known for her performance as backpacker Kristy Earl in 2005's acclaimed horror Wolf Creek. This young actress has been in the business for almost ten years. Morassi made her showbiz debut in Neighbours in 1996, though it would be five years before she appeared onscreen again, in BeastMaster. Since then the attractive actress has worked consistently, appearing twice in The Secret Life of Us in 2002 before making the transition to films in 2003 with The Merchant of Fairness. Her appearance alongside an all-star cast including Bryan Brown, Toni Collette, Sam Neill and John Goodman in 2002's Dirty Deeds saw her nominated for a Best Supporting Actor award by the Film Critics Circle of Australia.
Since then Morassi has appeared in Darkness Falls, Travelling Light, Strange Bedfellows, Thunderstruck and Josh Jarman before getting her international break in the UK box-office success Wolf Creek, which screened at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
