Lee Tergesen (born July 8, 1965 in Ivoryton, Connecticut) is an American actor.

He began his career starring in Wayne's World (1992) and Wayne's World 2 (1993), the 1994 series Weird Science and a recurring role in the first season of Homicide: Life on the Street.

Tergesen finally gained fame in 1997 playing Tobias Beecher on HBO's Oz a role he played until the series' end in 2003.

His film credits include Point Break, Shaft, Monster, and The Forgotten.

He has made several appearances in TV shows such as ER, Rescue Me, Law & Order, and one of its spinoffs, Criminal Intent.

As of March 20, 2006, there were unsubstantiated reports circulating the internet that the 40 year old Tergesen was romantically linked to 59 year old entertainment superstar Cher, though neither party's representatives have either confirmed or denied these reports.

He also plays an AA sponsor in the second season of Desperate Housewives, getting romantically involved with Bree.

He will play Holden in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.
