Leland Orser (born August 6, 1960) is an American film and television actor. Orser is a character actor, known best for playing parts of deranged, psychotic, and degenerate characters. Orser has appeared in small roles in a wide variety of films and television shows.
Orser made his television debut in 1991 on the show Gabriel's Fire. His next roles were bit parts and small roles on The Golden Girls, Cheers, L.A. Law, The X-Files, NYPD Blue, Law and Order: SVU and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In 1999 he played the (rather demanding) main role of Dr. Arthur Zeller in the Outer Limits episode Descent (Outer Limits episode), a part seemingly tailored by writer Eric Saltzgaber for Orser's particular talents.

He played Larry Purvis in 1997's Alien: Resurrection, one of the experimental victims who was infected by a face hugger under the supervision of Dr. Wren. Purvis tries to escape with the rest of the crew but Wren stops him. In his final moments, when his chestburster is about to explode, he gains a fierce rage and ruthlessly kills Wren, somehow obtaining vengeance for the situation he was placed in although he dies in the process.
He also appeared in Saving Private Ryan as the pilot of the crashed glider.
He has also appeared in various parts in the Star Trek franchise, among them playing a Changeling posing as a Romulan Colonel in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "The Die is Cast" and a homicidal hologram in an episode of Star Trek Voyager.
Since 2004 he has played Dr. Lucien Dubenko, chief of surgery who is a recurring character on the television show ER.
