Russell Tovey is an English actor.

Biography

Tovey was born on November 14, 1981 in Essex, England.

Tovey created the role of Rudge in Alan Bennett's play The History Boys. He played in the original West End stage production as well as in the Broadway, Sydney, Wellington and Hong Kong productions and radio and film versions of the play.

In addition to his work on The History Boys, Tovey has originated roles in the Royal National Theatre’s productions of His Dark Materials, His Girl Friday, Henry V and Howard Katz.
