Steven Ernest Bernard Zaillian (born on 30 January 1953 in Fresno, California) is an American screenwriter, film director, editor and producer. He won an Academy Award for his screenplay for Schindler's List and he has been nominated two times for Awakenings and Gangs of New York.
He is of Armenian descent.
