Zak Penn is a screenwriter and director who is known for writing and directing Incident at Loch Ness and co-writing the script for X-Men: The Last Stand.
The screenplay for Last Action Hero, for which he received a Story By credit with Adam Leff, was nominated for a 1993 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Screenplay; however, it lost to the Indecent Proposal script. Last Action Hero had been an original screenplay by Zak and Adam, however the rewritten version used in the film bore little resemblance to the original screenplay.
Recently, Penn has been hired to write the script for the sequel to Hulk and The Avengers.
Penn graduated from Wesleyan University in 1990 with a degree in Disappointing Creative Literature.
