I would definitely say that my favorite character created in the Tim Burton universe would be either Ed Wood or Jack Skellington. Very cool characters who refuse to adhere to the status quo.

All of Tim's characters are different so it is hard to decide. 1 Reply Report to Moderator nicola f. on 10/29/09 at 1:56 AM different characters, different situations but all with the same unique style...ARRRRRGH dont make me choose hehe 0 Replies Report to Moderator The Douginator on 11/6/09 at 9:08 AM Hmm, now that is a tough question. Could it be the comical yet scary Joker, the intresting Penguin, Coraline who bears a strange resemblance to a girl I used to know in my school or the characterful Jack Skellington. 1 Reply Report to Moderator piratefan60 on 11/6/09 at 3:30 PM Good choice. If I thought really hard I could probably come up with a favorite character from each of his movies. I do like Edward Scissorhands, because he is innocent, sweet, enduring character. 0 Replies Report to Moderator Goondockian on 11/16/09 at 10:28 AM all good choices but I'd have to go with Jack Skellington, or any of the characters from Nightmare, just because those are the characters that he created alone without the performance of the great actors behind the role. 0 Replies Report to Moderator TerreF15 on 11/30/09 at 12:36 AM for me it would have to be between ichabod crane, sweeney todd or ed wood. i rwlly loved those charaters. 1 Reply Report to Moderator piratefan60 on 11/30/09 at 2:39 PM Me,too. I think Mr. Depp is very talented every character he plays is different and unique. He's a great actor. 1 Reply Report to Moderator |

piratefan60 on 10/6/09 at 3:43 PM Planet of the Apes. I didn't like the original one either with Charlton Heston. 0 Replies Report to Moderator Jordan Wilson on 10/6/09 at 5:48 PM Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I just found it very uninvolving, despite the incredible set design. It was also the first time that I truly couldn't stand what Johnny Depp created in his character, it really bothered me, especially since I admire Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka so much. 1 Reply Report to Moderator Peter a. on 10/9/09 at 9:49 PM I think Johnny Depp was trying to create Micheal Jackson, seriously though, he doesnt want to grow up.. invites children onto his very secluded lair.. 0 Replies Report to Moderator annericelover on 10/7/09 at 5:55 PM Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Burton does a wonderful job as always using massive set designs and imaginitive worlds, but he fails in adapting a classic novel. Even when you are not comparing this film with the Gene Wilder film, you still find yourself scratching your head as the what novel is he basing the film off of? Johnny Depp did a great job acting creepy and very eerie, but I don't remember Willy Wonka being that way in neither the film, nor the Gene Wilder film. Also the film is called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but it focused on Williy Wonka's past. 0 Replies Report to Moderator nicholas n. on 11/11/09 at 11:48 AM Easily Planet of the Apes. I admit I enjoyed the film because I am a huge fan of the original and it was a different take on it, I also thought Tim Roth was awesome. Still, to me it is his only film that lacks any of his style/imagination. 0 Replies Report to Moderator |
