Jim's Dad
American Pie
Played by Eugene Levy
At first glance, Jim’s dad is about what you’d expect from the father of the sexually-frustrated geek in a teen sex comedy. He seems to be clueless, and is obviously trying way too hard to be cool in his son’s eyes. And the poor guy doesn’t even get a name in American Pie; he’s just known as “Jim’s dad” (for the record, he’s eventually revealed to be named Noah Levenstein). But any father willing to cover up his son’s misadventures with a warm dessert is tops in our book. And there’s actual wisdom behind the goofball façade, not just clueless fatherly advice. Jim’s dad turns out to be surprisingly honest and insightful with his son, and ends up being the recurring voice of wisdom throughout the increasingly raunchy American Pie franchise.
