About The Movie: Judd Apatow became a household name after his first two raunch-filled feature comedies, The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, but with Funny People, he takes a more serious approach to the genre. Adam Sandler stars as a successful stand-up comedian who experiences a brush with death and subsequently forms a close relationship with an up-and-coming comic (Seth Rogen) whom he hires as a personal assistant. Funny People sees the return of several Apatow regulars, including Jonah Hill and Apatow's wife, Leslie Mann.
