Video Exclusive: Franklyn Director Introduction
Gerald McMorrow walks us into Meanwhile City
by Joe Utichi | February 04, 2009
Discuss Article

Gerald McMorrow's dystopian epic Franklyn is set between contemporary London and a fictional metropolis called Meanwhile City as four disparate characters are brought together. Starring Ryan Phillippe, Eva Green and Sam Riley, RT fell in love with its twisted vision when we visited the set last year. Now, as it readies for release in the UK on February 27th, McMorrow introduces the film exclusively for RT visitors.

Interesting. The dystopian thing has sort of been done to death, but the director looks like he might bring something new. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Visually the cityscape reminds me of Dark City, which I loved.

However, the Director didn't really go so far to mention the seperate plots, so who knows. Phillipe has proven that he can be a good actor, but, I don't know about the others. If that was Vera Famiglia(sp?) with that odd kabuki chin make-up...er...she looked really stupid.

Sam Riley is awesome Tomwaits, go check out Control. Also thats Eva Green from Casino Royale, so I am expecting the acting to be good plus I also like Phillipe.
