Bob S. writes: on Jun 23 2009 10:28 AM I thought the most interesting insight offered here was his relationship with Tim Burton. They've worked together frequently, and any time Tim Burton's name is attached to a project, it seems that Depp's is not far behind. It appears that they've got a lot in common and think, creatively, on the same wavelength. (Reply to this) |

jokerboy1991 writes: on Jun 23 2009 04:14 PM In reply to this comment (#2515854) I remember reading an EW article on them and I guess there suppose to be like best friends or something, Depp is like the godfather of his kid I think. Whenever they get together they make greatness or good (Sleepy Hollow), except for Charlie and The Chocolate Factor. I still dont think a Pirates 4 is needed, if they make it, I hope they just follow Jack Sparrow and Barbosa racing to the tree of life. Dark Shadows still sounds like a great idea. (Reply to this) |

Bigbrother writes: on Jun 23 2009 04:14 PM In reply to this comment (#2515782) Dark Shadows was a 60's soap opera with a supernatural twist. Think if Guiding Light and the Universal monsters had a bastard child. Johnny's going to play Barnabas Collins who was the J.R. character for the series. The guy people tuned in to see and also a vampire. Probably the most famous story arc focused on the chick Barnabas obsesses over going back in time to when Barnabas got cursed with vampirism by a hot little servant wench named Angelique who he was schtupping on the side. She was also a witch. The lesson here is don't have sex with a witch...unless of course if after a little hot strange you wanna end up a super suave vampire and live forever. Ya really taught him a lesson there Angie. (Reply to this) |

martinscorsese25 writes: on Jun 23 2009 09:40 PM hopefully. Dark Shadows will be a DIFFERENT Tim Burton film... a very very dark, meaning the ultimate dark Tim Burton film. i hope we won't see a slight of bit of 'color'... hahaha... although i don't know the source material, i want the film to be like Coppola's Dracula but more darker... i prefer the first half of dracula when he was till at the castle, so dark! the second half, meh!... ps. i think Coppola should retire, he can't make a GREAT film anymore even if he tries to (Reply to this) |

martinscorsese25 writes: on Jun 23 2009 10:26 PM oh man! his "Alice" look tops his look in "Charlie" as his GAYess look ever! LOL.... you gotta love Depp. i think he is one of the most versitile actors today... still i don't agree with other people who's saying he is the BEST actor today, he's probably a runner-up. Him, Leo DiCaprio, Heath Ledger(if he was still alive), Philip Seymour Hoffman and Downey Jr are tied as a runner-up to Daniel Day-Lewis who is no.1 and Penn who is no. 2. (Reply to this) |

Bigbrother writes: on Jun 24 2009 12:48 PM In reply to this comment (#2516108) Don't know how dark this version will be. It certainly could be, but if they stick with the original source material it could definately lend itself to camp and farce as well. Do you really thing Sean Penn is #2? I can't say I've enjoyed a Sean Penn performance since Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I know he's had a lot of good performances since then, but the fact that I can honestly say I haven't liked Sean Penn in a movie for 30 years is a major fault at least for me. (Reply to this) |
