In preparation for the heist, Nick dons a series of outlandish disguises, impersonating a sentimental octogenarian with a dying wife and his elderly sister in an effort to infiltrate the store and get closer to its manager (Tom Courtenay). It seems like the perfect setup until Nick meets Carolyn (Wendy Hughes), a beautiful antiques dealer who owns the the shop next to the jewelry store. Nick becomes infatuated with Carolyn, leading to a few snags in his otherwise unflappable plan.
