The Hills Have a Sequel -- and a New Poster
by Scott Weinberg | November 23, 2006
Discuss Article
I saw lots of cool stuff when I was in Morocco watching "The Hills Have Eyes 2" get made, but there's a just-released one-sheet for the flick that's just now being unleashed for everyone. So if renegade mutant lunatics are your thing, feel free to check it out.

Enjoy the mutated madness over at JoBlo's.

"Hills 2" features a bunch of new mutants who enjoy terrorizing a team of young National Guardsmen (and Guardswomen). And based on what little I saw on set, those who enjoyed both Wes Craven's "Hills Have Eyes" AND Alex Aja's version should probably have a fine time with the sequel. It hits theaters on March 2nd.

how terrible movies like this get sequels and films like "Serenity", "Dark City" and others do not, I will never know.

I could see Serenity being a franchise, but Dark City is a bad example. That film needs to prequels, sequels or spinoffs of any kind. Just a better DVD release.

But I go agree with the main point. The remake was terrible. There is no reason to go back and waste money on more of the same crap.

I thought the remake by Aja was well done. If that type of gruesome horror flick isn't your bag, fair enough. But I don't really think it's accurate to say that it was "terrible," "total crap" or "shit" - at least not in any attempting-to-be-objective sense.

As for the upcoming sequel goes, can't say that I'm looking forward to it.

I agree with you on it being a good film. I actually thought it was really good. As for this next one I'm looking forward to it I just wish Aja would return to direct. He knows how to make a good splatter.
