He begins going to a prostitute. Eventually Paul and the prostitute begin fulfilling Paul's pornographic fantasies by making adult films. A porn producer likes Paul's work and commissions him to make more films, but with fresher faces. Paul involves an innocent girl seeking acting roles in Hollywood and their life in the adult film industry leads to a brutal, humbling climax. This character study is notable for fine performances including Craig Wasson--known mostly from another study of sexuality, BODY DOUBLE--as the porn producer.
