Barrie's classic story of the boy who wouldn't grow up - and the girl whose family insists that she must - has never been fully realized onscreen. Until now. Universal Pictures, Columbia Pictures and Revolution Studios are proud to present the first live-action feature film version of Peter Pan since the silent era. And for the first time, a boy - Jeremy Sumpter (Frailty) - stars in the title role, opposite Jason Isaacs (The Patriot, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) as Captain James Hook. In stifling Edwardian London, Wendy Darling mesmerizes her brothers nightly with bedtime tales of swordplay, swashbuckling and the fearsome Hook. But the children become the heroes of an even greater story when Peter Pan flies into their nursery one night and leads them over moonlit rooftops through a galaxy of stars to the lush jungles of Neverland. Wendy and her brothers join Peter and the Lost Boys in an exhilarating life free of grown-up rules, while also facing the inevitable showdown with Hook and his bloodthirsty pirates. With unbounded imagination and the latest in visual effects, writer/director P.J. Hogan (My Best Friend's Wedding) and producers Lucy Fisher and Douglas Wick (Gladiator, Stuart Little) bring all the wonder, danger and excitement of this timeless tale to life. The cast also includes Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense, Rushmore) as Mrs. Darling, Academy Award® nominee Lynn Redgrave (Gods and Monsters) as Aunt Millicent, Richard Briers (Ever Decreasing Circles) as Smee and French sensation Ludivine Sagnier (Swimming Pool) as Tinker Bell. Rachel Hurd-Wood makes her screen debut as Wendy. [More]

Siendo notorio el gusto de Hogan por las letras clásicas de Peter Pan y Wendy, el director sabe educir el alma del libro para llevarla al celuloide.

PJ Hogan's lazy, logy Peter Pan states that not growing up is a tragedy, but presents neither evidence nor arguments.

[I]t's an unfortunate time for a new version of Peter Pan to hit theaters, but those who can push all those King of Pop connections aside will be rewarded.

Even if you don’t believe in fairies, this movie will make a believer of you....timeless story gets a grand treatment, though some parents may balk at Hogan’s darker tones.

It's not colourful, it's not fun, it's just a gaudy mess of bad aesthetic choices and cruddy CGI.

Don’t get caught somewhere in the middle, wandering around Neverland without a fairy guide.

As smart and definitive a version as we're likely to see for a while, which is fine, if only because it casts an actual child actor instead of a creepy female man-child.

Hogan's adapation is likely faithful to a fault: it goes through the motions of the story without seeming to have any reason for telling it.

An earnest and enjoyable entertainment that remains loyal to its source if not to those hoping for state-of-the-art special effects.

Peter Pan is so loaded with visual wonder that even when aspects of it fall short, it’s gorgeous to behold.

The latest version of J.M. Barrie’s book hits the screen... alas, all we got was a shadow of the tale.

A requiem for lost childhood, which simultaneously stands in light judgment of Peter's refusal to grow up. It's a frank and rather beautiful conundrum that's wonderfully addressed.
