Summary

Bloodthirsty vampires flew high, depressing dramas sank, and many holdovers held up well at the North American box office. The new horror flick 30 Days of Night easily ruled the charts while a handful of adult dramas were met with opening weekend sales that ranged from mild to embarrassing. Back to Article

yeah, can�t wait til the day when it comes to the remakes, that are just cannibalising the loving american cinema culture just to make profits out of the audiences, I counted about 230 remakes since the year 2000 to this day...that�s just sad.
I actually tried to watch not another teen movie twice....I gave up.

Tyler Perry's movies don't appeal to me, actually I don't think I'd enjoy them. But I do give him some mad props for somehow getting people out to see his films which don't have one explosion in them and deal with family issues in a sitcom manner. I really don't know how he does it. The guy's a box office powerhouse.

After a record-breaking summer, 2007 is lagging in the fall and soon '04 will catch up.
Sounds like audiences want entertainment, not melodramatic/serious dramas headlined by oscar winning actors.

Looks like they'll get their wish soon with Saw 4, American Gangster, Bee Movie, Dan in Real Life and Beowulf coming out over the next 3 weeks.

Not that I hate horror films (28 Days Later and Pan's Labyrinth are both excellent), but when was there a good vampire film?

There are some things that were exactly from The Thing. The dog-slaughter for example.

Rendition was pretty good, strong acting and it all came together very well. 30 Days of Night was also pretty good, it had some problems but it was entertaining. I still need to see Gone Baby Gone, and Things We Lost in the Fire. I'm glad The Comebacks tanked, I hate spoof movies anymore. I enjoyed the first Scary Movie and Not Another Teen Movie and that's it. It's to bad that Reservation Road did so bad, I thought it looked pretty solid.

hope this helps his career, wow its pretty good feeling to see a halle berry film that

actually appears watchable(MAINLY DUE TO BENICIO DEL TORO not berry)and its not going

to make a cent. still, i fear when awards season come, i will have to hear what great

acting skills she has, even though this is the first good film she acted well in since

her best orgasm adult video uhh.. best actress award for monster's ball. good for halle

and as for ben.... i still hate him but i can't extend the hate to casey. happy for

casey still wish the worse to that bastard! So, recap, Hooray for Harnett, Casey and

Del toro! And BOOO and Hiss for Halle, Assfleck and Tyler Perry! Can't wait til next

week and the american gangster... heard it hear first this year will be Crowe's comeback

year and he will get a well deserved oscar nomination for this upcoming

co-star role with denzel or 3:10 To Yuma
