Elmo loves his fuzzy, well-worn blue blanket better than anything in the whole world. In fact, they are inseparable... a perfect team. Elmo would never let anything happen to it-until a tug-of-war with his friend Zoe sends his beloved blanket into a faraway land and Elmo in hot pursuit.
Facing life without his cherished blanket, Elmo summons all of his courage and determination and sets off on an action-packed rescue mission that plunges him into Grouchland-a place full of grouchy creatures, stinky garbage and the villainous Huxley (Mandy Patinkin). There, Elmo learns an important lesson about sharing.

Reviews for The Adventures Of Elmo In Grouchland
Kids who love Barney or the Muppets will undoubtedly feel right at home.
The Jim Henson folks, who earlier this year gave us Muppets from Space, come up with another winner.
Although the film could have been a little more subtle in its moralizing, Elmo in Grouchland is certainly as entertaining as it is instructive in socialization skills.
There are enough audience participation scenes to keep young children from getting restless.
Most patient adults may want to strangle the impish Elmo within the first 10 minutes of this movie.
It's cute, diverting fun for the young 'uns, and one that features a good message to boot.
Teens and young adults who have loved Sesame Street since childhood may just find themselves drawn to The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.
A real children's film -- not 'family entertainment' -- but the kind of movie three-year-olds will enjoy, especially if they watch Sesame Street.
The character is bereft of subtlety, the lessons are simple, loud, and clear, and there is a suprising dearth of comedy.
