On Saturday, February 7th, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced the winners in each of their categories for outstanding achievements in writing for 2008. While the awards cover not only film and television, but radio and video games as well, we've decided to focus on the winners of the former two. Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire continues its awards-season hot streak, while television hits like 30 Rock and Mad Men also picked up more trophies to add to their respective collections. Read on to see the full list of nominees and winners, then chime in to tell us what you think about the results!

The "Slumdog" cast is so tired of awards, they're givin' them away. I still don't know why films based on actual events are called orginal, but whatever.

By the way, "Apocalypse Cow" is the worst episode of "The Simpsons" I've ever seen. It shouldn't have won crap!

Really??? SNL as the best-written variety show??? Have they been watching a different version of it than I have? *All* those other shows are better than it. Sure, it had some great hits with some of its recent election parodies, but just about every other sit has been *painfully* unfunny. Do SNL writers make up a majority of the guild voting on this?
