Bit of a wild slate for the Review Revue crew this week. Five movies -- two getting decent reviews, two negligibly screened for critics, and one so reviled that it's been disowned by its own director. I thought Disaster Movie was the movie on everybody's mind. Ever since I saw it advertised on the MySpace login page, I've hated it with a purple passion and been so eager to watch critics tear it to pieces.

Gabi Jacobs really finding his feet, but he still needs to work on his pacing a little bit.

Yup: 24 Hour Party People. Looking at the trailers for this movie, though, it looks hit-or-miss. Too much physical comedy, too many of the weaker elements of South Park. Needed work. "Rock Me Sexy Jesus" super catchy. I edited a version on my computer where I removed the rap-style intro, and now it's perfect.

Wake up, god damn it! Ha ha! Petey Greene's on the scene! I've only got so long before the studio shuts me down, so talk to me!

Until this revue, I didn't know a single thing about College. But hey, girls in bikinis! Eh, doesn't look good anyway.

Disahster Movie. Katrina shmatrina! But, see, you did the clips wrong! First you see somebody you recognize, then they get hit in the face with something. And didn't Maddox sum it up perfectly already before this movie even went into production? "...recycled jokes, irrelevant pop culture references, and recycled irrelevant pop culture references..." And what's with that guy in the Indiana Jones costume? Oh, I know! Black people are automatically funny, and midgets are automatically funny, so a black midget must be hilariously funny! And let's not forget that this movie features Kim Kardashian, who's only really famous for being in a sex tape. "Reality TV star" my ***! And Carmen Electra, who pissed me off when she joined the cast of Battle Bots and ran the show into the ground, and pissed me off again when she praised Epic Movie for referencing movies everyone had seen, which she thought was enough. Hey, isn't Carmen Electra actually a porn star anyway? Why doesn't she stick to what she's good at?

Wow, why did they stuff so many movies into this last week??? I know its for the summer, but geez, it's lkke your stuck with too many choices if you fail to get the chance to see other movies that released on previous weeks...

Excellent point about Disaster Movie only referencing other movies without actual jokes. It's exactly what I thought when I saw the "I drink your milkshake" SNL sketch and I'm sure I would think the same about these "whatever movies" if I saw them but I just avoid them like the plague

Mhhm, I am gonna see Traitor tomorrow I think it does look very good, Don Cheadle is great and so is Guy Pearce who definitely doesn't do enough films. I gotta say it I am going to see Death Race tomorrow, I have actually heard that it is fun and really an ultimate guilty pleasure.

As far as Hamlet 2 goes, you may find the following strange.

I used to be friends a long time ago with the creator of Samwell's What What (In the butt) spoofed on SOuth Park.

Anyway, he's been working forever on a film called "HAMLET ADD"

Traitor was really good, and I could care less about the other movies coming out this week. I do hope Dark Knight retakes the #1 spot.

And by the way, Jen looked sooooo cute when she's saying "And then there's action...and then there's talking. And then there's action..."

Yeah, yeah...I'm fanboyin' on her.

To the writers/director of Disaster Movie. You have a chance to make a movie that will be seen by millions of kids (your only demographic)and you really just don't care. You don't care about film and you treat what little you have audience like mindless fools. It's just very sad. I looked up both of the directors on imdb (why two directors) and not one real film between them. I picture them reading a bad review and laughing as they light their cigars with 100 dollar bills.

The fact that a movie like Disaster Movie (or Epic Movie or Meet The Spartans, etc) can be even moderately successful (hell, even make more than $1000 total) is a testament to the stupidity of the people in this country. There's nothing clever about it, nothing even remotely funny, nothing that could even be considered trash entertainment- hell, they don't even have jokes. I mean, hell, freaking fart jokes told by third graders are of a higher comedic level than this garbage!

Michelle Yeoh deserves better roles and better scripts...I hate Hollywood for not being so prejudiced towards minority actresses...Yeoh, Liu, Hu, Angela Bassett, Nia Long, etc etc deserve better.

As for Disaster movie, Kim Karshadian and Vanessa Minnolo acting? no comment!
