Reviews for Band of Brothers
A massively ambitious undertaking. For long spells it loses focus, but when it's good, it's an important record or depiction of courage.
A triumph on every conceivable level . . . a brilliant, engrossing, and captivating saga. This is the new benchmark that all war epics should be judged by.
It is doubtful that any war movie on the large or small screen has captured the varied experiences of ordinary soldiers better than Band of Brothers.
Band of Brothers is an immense achievement, raising the bar for combat realism. But to the end, it's hobbled by its noble disinclination to play the Hollywood game.
