Julie Delpy to Make Her Directorial Debut with "Bathory"
Actress/screenwriter Julie Delpy ("Before Sunset") will make her debut behind the camera with "Bathory," in which she'll be re-joining frequent co-star Ethan Hawke ("Assault on Precinct 13").
Ms. Delpy's screenplay is, according to The Hollywood Reporter, based on the story of "the legendary Elizabeth Bathory, who inspired many a vampire myth with sadistic rituals that included bathing in the blood of virgins." The newly christened Bauer Martinez Distribution will handle the finances and the release on "Bathory."

Aoiboy writes: on May 17 2005 12:17 PM If she's half as good as director as she is as actress, the film should be really good. And I love her chemistry with Hawke. Before sunset and Before sunrise are 2 of my favorites movies the year they came out. (Reply to this) |
