Blog Article | Discuss Article
Summary

This week at the movies, we've got the rise and fall of a girl group ("Dreamgirls," starring Jamie Foxx, Beyonce Knowles, and Eddie Murphy) and some yuletide splatter ("Black Christmas," starring Michelle Trachtenberg). What do the critics have to say? Back to Article

Dreamgirls has been selling out everyday. The same people who made this movie also made Chicago. Dreamgirls will be big at the boxoffice.

This movie is looking great. COTC has this movie at 87%. The film has made 20 million in 3 days playing only in 852 theaters. Looks like it is living up to the hype unlike Flags, and Babel and other oscar films.

Talk about ironic timing. In Dreamgirls, Eddie Murphy plays an eccentric singer, who sings and dances like a certain somebody....

I've already seen Dreamgirls and it was fantastic. I hope it does well this weekend. I plan on checking out Children of Men.

just a question
Isn't Children of Men only limited this weekend?? If so when does it go wide, because I looked it up for this weekend and its not playing anywhere around where I live.

Yeah Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth aren't playing in my area. Luckily I got to see them both already but it's a shame that I had to resort to piracy to do so. I would've paid to see both movies in theaters because they both deserved it.
