So I guess your hip urban audience shares your contempt for the classic movies that everyone else seems to enjoy. Honestly, the movie doesn't try very hard to be clever at all; its moments of genius are austere and understated, as is the case in most Coen bros. films. It reserves most of its film-schoolesque style for the final shot - which is one of the best ever, even if it is conceited. I'm fighting really hard not to make fun of your evident hermaphroditism, by the way. (Reply to this) |

This film is a masterpiece, a true work of art in almost every respect. Just because you can't understand it doesn't mean it's 'smart-alecky', you're just either too ignorant or too dumb to get it.
