A supposedly gay-themed film made for people with an adolescent obsession with boobs and the egotistical sense that all gay men are hot for them (mostly evidenced by guys who wouldn't be cruised in Portsmouth on a pay night).
The most obvious mistake [the film] makes is having Nick and Jerry figure out they're on a gay cruise almost immediately.
The best I can say of this sinking ship is that it’s an equal opportunity offender: there’s something here to infuriate you whether you’re a heterosexual, homosexual, black, white, Hispanic, Swedish, Swiss, aristocrat, Joe Sixpack, disco diva, war veteran
The sort of comedy your Uncle Marty might like, if Uncle Marty is the sort of geezer who lives in a hovel and numbs his pain with beer and porn.
The movie improves immeasurably if you visualize a looming iceberg in the corner of the frame.
Far too much of the film plays like a bad episode of "Three's Company," where assumptions and half-heard conversations reign and no one acts like a real human being.
"Boat Trip" should be towed away on a garbage scow.

A puerile comedy so appalling and unfunny, it’s like contracting the Norwalk virus at sea. Twice.

It's one of those movies you experience with dropped jaw, wondering what the hell the filmmakers thought they were doing and how desperate could the actors have been to agree to be in it?
You'd have to go back to 'Gilligan's Island' to find an equally bad comedic shipwreck...leaves no leering or vulgar gag unused and no stereotype unexplored in its search for cheap laughs.
Quick--someone find an iceberg!
It's hard to imagine who would find this funny.
This movie is so bland, I can't even bring myself to completely trash it with a one-star spike.
A lame, gender-mixed, mistaken-identity, cross-dressing comedy.
If there was ever a cinematic vessel that deserved hitting an iceberg and sinking before it hit theaters and subjected viewers to one of the worst comedies in years, if not decades, this is it.
Flouncing and preening, [Gooding] works hard to sell the movie's penile, puerile jokes, his strain so evident that it borders on sad.
