Boo's not among the best horror flicks I've seen this year, but it's actually better than several that played the multiplexes.

Setting up... Following in the tradition of Halloween teen shockers such as SCREAM, this indie horror flick follows a group of teenagers who overstep the boundaries between the living and the dead. Setting up for an elaborate joke on their girlfriends, Kevin (Jilon Ghai), Freddy (Josh Holt), and Jacob (M. Steven Felty), propose a trip to an abandoned hospital, the third floor of which is supposedly haunted. Jessie (Trish Coren), who seems to exhibit some kind of psychic abilities, has more than mild misgivings, but is pressured to go along. At first convinced that the eerie encounters they experience are just the work of their friend Freddy, the teenagers soon realize that the vengeful spirit on the third floor is not going to rest until all the intruders meet a gruesome ending. Reviews for Boo
...not a movie that more discerning genre fans will want to see again and again, but it’s a good creeper-outer for those who scare easily.
