Yeah, this movie pretends to be about something but infact has nothing going for it.
It's just an excuse for gory over the top right wing fantasies with plenty of Tarantino and Guy Richie rip offs (both of which have been dissmissed as rip offs themselves)

Though on the second viewing I enjoyed it alot more. It's badness seemed randomly appealing.

Great review, what an offensively horrible movie.

Ya, my friends had told me this movie was amazing so we sat down and watched it together. When it was over I looked over at my friend and said "What the Fuhck is wrong with you?" It may have been because I had been falsely told this was a classic, so I was expecting more. I still get my 2 fat friends (who wear jean shorts) at school who will defend this movie to the death as the classic of our generation. lol

Wow, I had no idea people disliked this movie as much as I did. The comment above me only serves to illustrate the "cult" followers this film attracts.

No lasting impact my ***. People like you can pitter patter away typing reviews on movies and throwing your two cents all day long, I don't really care. People however, wether you like it or not, were impacted by this movie. Its not about "finding the meaning behind the human urge for self-appointed of wrongs". This movie is about the state of the world we live in, how ordinary people long for justice and deliverance but sit and do nothing. This movie speaks of radical reform against an unjustified system of Law, which if you retards would look in a history book, you'd see that that's what our founding fathers founded the country on. It gives hope that wicked men, even if they have power, are never above God and Justice. So in conclusion, blow your review out your *** and go watch some bull**** ben afflec movie you fags.

Cult has nothing to do with it some people find its message appealing. Excuse me if there is never any problems in your perfect world living in your moms basement but real people, people who live in a broken down neighborhood and hear gunshots at night, want something better. But in the broken political and penal system that we have the rich and powerful stay on top and are untouchable by law. The reason this movie has such a wide group of followers, is becasue there are thousands of people who know what its like to watch good people get killed and bad people walk free.

wow. I thought this movie was horrible but some of the comments defending this junk is even more horrible. I am glad i hated it. I still feel like my IQ dropped about 10 points in a few hours.
