The computer animation crew at Pixar--the creators of TOY STORY--return with another feature rife with stunningly rendered worlds populated by cute critters you can't help but care about. The story is simple--an ant colony led by Flik (Dave Foley) seeks help from a flea circus and other insects in their struggles against the oppressive grasshopper bullies led by Hopper (Kevin Spacey). However, as with TOY STORY, there is as much for adults to enjoy here as there is for the kids. (In fact, the story is loosely based on Akira Kurosawa's classic SEVEN SAMURAI.) And don't miss the wonderful "outtakes" that roll with the closing credits! [More]

While "A Bug's Life" is never less than pleasant and full of luscious Cinemascope visuals, coming on the heels of "Antz" it can't help but suffer in comparison...

Forget Antz. A Bug's Life is the computer-animated insect movie that really buzzes.

One of the great movies -- a triumph of storytelling and character development, and a whole new ballgame for computer animation.

If you’ve seen "Antz" and liked it, you’ll love "A Bug’s Life." It may not have Woody Allen's dry wit...but it is the more colorful and action-packed of the two films.

What A Bug's Life demonstrates is that when it comes to bugs, the most fun ones to hang out with hang exclusively with the gang at Pixar.

A movie featuring spectacular computer animation, and which offers a real challenge to live action films. The challenge is: Why do so many directors and writers and live actors produce films with so much less character development than this cartoon does?

Witty, warm and charming -- perfect holiday fare for the entire family. Just because you've seen Antz, don't pass up A Bug's Life. After seeing it, you may decide insects aren't so ikky after all.

It’s hard to consider that anything could break new ground off of "Toy Story", but in this case, an exception is made.
