"Catwoman" Tops The Razzies, "Alexander" Not Far Behind
by RT Staff | January 25, 2005
Discuss Article
Celebrating 2004's Worst Achievements in Film, the Razzie has revealed their nominees for 2004. "Catwoman," the Halle Berry starrer, leads the Razzies with 7 nominations, including those for Worst Picture, Worst Actress, and Worst Screenplay. "Alexander," Oliver Stone's swords and sandals pic, follows not far behind with 6, and "White Chicks" is a "surprise" at third with 5 noms.

President George W. Bush ("Fahrenheit 9/11") may need a presidential order to compete against Ben Affleck ("Jersey Girl" and "Surviving Christmas"), Ben Stiller ("Along Came Polly," "Anchorman," "Dodgeball," "Envy," and "Starsky & Hutch"), as well as Vin Diesel ("Chronicles of Riddick") and Colin Farrell ("Alexander") in the Worst Actor category.

WTF
Maybe Razzies are supposed to be fun, but 6 hits for Alexander does't semm funny to me. Oliver Stone worst director? Collin Farrel worst actor? I mean, c'mon! What's wrong with Americans? This whole aversion to the new Stone's flick is purely their problem, the rest of the world is thrilled. (Or is it supposed to be some kind of revenge for Comandante?).
Btw Ben Stiller worst actor? Now this is completely insane...

Ben stiller has had a few bad movies but come on,he was the best thing about dodgeball.and whats up with george w bush and brittney spears being on the list ,they werent acting it was just all interviews and footage.most critics hate bush and thats the only reason ferenheit even got good reviews,i actually like documenteries and i have to tell ya this was no documentary and should have won the worst movie ever award.I never saw alexander so i cant comment on it,but catwoman fits very well in this list.

Bush's Method
Honestly, I guess there are only two ways to look at this. Either he was telling the truth the American People, and therefore, was not acting. Or, he was lying (acting), but since he got re-elected by the majority this time, most people must think he was telling the truth, hence a good actor. So, either way, he should not be nominated for a Razzie, unless, like most humans with common sense, you believe he was lying, and watching it on film just makes you cringe. This would then make him the forntrunner ahead of Stiller.

Britney wasn't acting, she's just another idiot redneck.

I dont know wheather bush was telling the truth or not when we went into iraq ,he may not have been. All im saying is that when hes on screen during the movie its just clips from enterviews and speeches and shouldnt have made the razzies when there were real actors trying to act and failing .As for brit ,yea she doesnt seem to be all that bright, but just because someone is from the south doesnt always make them a redneck.Im from the south and my neck is in no way red ,i have been accuesed of being an ass hole from time to time though.Anyways i voted for bush in the last election only because i didnt think kerry could do the job,not because i believe everything bush tells us . there all politions afterall no matter if there republican or democrat.

Where's Yu-Gi-Sh*t? That should've been on the list for Worst pictue. Without it, there's a huge gap on the ballot. C'mon, it got a bloody 2%!! And how about Envy? It was terrible, too. 2% says it all. Good thing Superbabies was included or this would be a loss.

Yea i agree about envy, that movie was horrible.as for yu gi sh*t i have no idea what that is.One thing i believe that most people agree with is that ben stillers dodgeball didnt need to be in this catagory of bad fims.
