on May 16 2008 11:10 PM SO WAIT! IYPCrap gets a shout out but not YMCAwesome? RT has failed me. (Reply to this) |

on May 17 2008 12:26 AM Hakuna Matata LOL (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 17 2008 01:51 AM ok, so here's another idea... what about a segment of the show where you guys discuss a famous (or infamous!) past release that happened around the same week, but years ago? you can call it "review rewind" lol. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 17 2008 04:23 AM Congratulations! I think your movie reviews are some of the worst and most vacuous I've ever seen! Makes me wonder why idiots with no discriminating taste and nothing insightful to say about movies would run a sight dedicated to film criticism! (Reply to this) |

on May 17 2008 07:06 AM I'm suddenly reminded of the phrase "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." While that isn't the case for critics (obviously), it is one thing to tastfully disagree with someone's opinion and totally another to slam someone in a completly unproductive and negitive fashion ("...why idiots with no discriminating taste and nothing insightful to say..."). I mean really, is that nessicary? Keep up the great job RT! I for one enjoy everyones opinion even if I don't always agree (cause I still enjoy Independence Day and Speed Racer da**it! :-P). ![]() on May 17 2008 10:14 AM We idiots, Captain Siberia, can spell "site." As in, "website." That's why. Thanks for asking! (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 17 2008 11:36 AM In reply to this comment (#1738079) What movie reviews? I'm pretty sure the point of the show is not to review the movies, but rather light-hearted commenting on what the reviewers have said. If you're looking for real reviews of movies, stick to your Ebert and Roeper. (Reply to this) |

on May 17 2008 12:22 PM In reply to this comment (#1738275) Jen, I am not saying this to be a jerk but the correct way to spell it is Web site. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 17 2008 05:18 PM In reply to this comment (#1738275) See? Instead of actually answering the criticism, you jump on a grammatical error as if it invalidated everything I said. And your movie reviews are just like that: very superficial, not one bit of insight. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 17 2008 08:02 PM In reply to this comment (#1738594) Haha....man, what a party pooper. (and yes, I still use the term party pooper) (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 17 2008 10:31 PM In reply to this comment (#1738594) Siberia, how are they movie reviews? I don't get it. They spend a whole 60 seconds on each movie giving some very brief thoughts based on freakin previews. Not sure what else you're expecting them to do. You know, if you don't offer a solution, you're just whining... how can they improve the 4-minutes show? (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 18 2008 03:52 AM In reply to this comment (#1738900) By being more insightful. Focusing on things like characters and plot. (Reply to this) |

on May 18 2008 12:38 PM I have a sense that next week, Uwe Boll is going to let us all down. Like Santa Clause, ya know, that one time. . . (and saying Uwe Boll is a jerk, is an insult to jerks everywhere) (And I hope he read our questions, and cries a little during some angry 3 minute tirade about how stupid we all are compared to him.) (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 18 2008 10:39 PM In reply to this comment (#1739026) Well I suppose that would make the show better, but that's kinda hard when they haven't seen the movies yet. I can definitely see your points, but I think they would apply more to a post-release show, if they decide to have one. (Reply to this) |

on May 18 2008 11:30 PM In reply to this comment (#1739026) I was about to call you at as an idiot for reasons I won't go into now, because it suddenly dawned on me that when I see something on the internet I don't like, it makes much more sense to simply ignore it then to try and make fun of it for the purpose of stroking my own ego. I suggest you try it sometime. P.s. Could you argue that I actually DID use this comment to make fun of you and stroke my own ego, and thus call me a hypocrite? I guess if you really wanted to spend your time that way, go ahead. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 19 2008 01:11 AM In reply to this comment (#1740438) Or I could call you cheap for side-stepping the argument and choosing instead to attack me. I could say that you only said my opinion didn't matter because you don't have the skill to debate my argument. And then you maturely ended your incisive counterargument with "If you reply, you lose." (Reply to this) |

on May 19 2008 05:02 PM And yet with someone so unhappy with the job they did, you still continue to post and use the web site. Doesn't that mean that in some way you do enjoy it? Next time, if you don't like something, just say it wasn't for me and move on. You made it a personal attack on people that work hard to try to entertain people and perhaps give a bit more insight into a movie that THEY have NOT even seen yet. Please though, make your own web site and do better :) Now i'm not trying to attack you personally so please don't take it as such. What I am attacking in your tact or lack there of when expressing your own opinion. We all are entitled to our opinion and your is perfectly FINE! Personally I don't care if you thought what they did is crap, but the fact that you used no tact in delivering your opinion is why people jumped on your case. Sometimes harsh honesty is needed but in this case, is it really called for? A critic may not like some movie but they aren't saying YOU can't enjoy it. They aren't going to say, it's crap so everyone else HAS to think it's crap. Don't be such a downer lol. It's when someone gets hostile that people become defensive. Can you really blame people for trying to defend themselves? NOBODY likes to be called an idiot and i'm sure that includes yourself. Can't we all just....get along :) (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 21 2008 12:40 PM "Web site" noted. :) Captain S...we're not reviewing movies; initially, our mission was to discuss what the critics were saying about opening films - a "revue" of the "reviews." If all you want is an opinion on character and plot, here's this week's answer: Indiana Jones is a shell of the character that he once was; the plot of Indy 4 is scattered, impersonal, and full of cheap laughs that are far beneath the filmmakers. You're welcome. Tune in this week for more insipid insights! (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 21 2008 01:15 PM Not bad at all. I wish you guys could made it longer, but I cant wait for next video to come out. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 21 2008 01:26 PM I still think that RT crew should talk about the news that happen the past week and what to expect for the weekend box office. (Reply to this) |
