City of Men is getting very good reviews so who ever said they are Ruining it needs to look at some reviews.

Well, the information in the article isn't really accurate. The characters and the story have zero to do with City of God. City of God took place in the 1970s and City of Men takes place today. The TV show City of Men was produced by the same people as City of God but they have nothing to do with each other. I'd recommend that you watch the TV show, which is available here in the US on DVD, before watching the movie. The show was great, and there's no reason to think that the movie won't be, either. I'm really looking forward to it.

City of Men is pretty good. It's not quite the powerful film City of God was, but it's well worth the watch.

City of God is one of my favorite so I'll give this a chance...hard to imagine it living up to it's predecessor though.

i dont know about anyone else, but the thumbnail pic of that guy's armpit on the front page of RT is not a gorgeous image, and for the life of me, i can't figure out why they chose to show that.

anyway, i saw city of god and it was good. i caught most of season 1 of the city of men show on sundance way back when and liked it. i may get around to seeing this movie someday, but i seriously doubt i'll catch in theaters.
