Political messages, ganja smoking, and Rastafarian preachiness are complemented by plenty of great music from Bob Marley and the Wailers, the Gladiators, and others.

Reviews for Countryman
The film never works out its political confusions. But even more problematic are the supernatural powers with which its innocent protagonist is endowed, probably the sticking point for wide audience acceptance.
Better to buy the soundtrack featuring Marley and the Maytals and give the movie a miss.
