Who Wants Some Crank 2 Spoilers?
Where there's a will, there's a sequel.
by Jeff Giles | March 26, 2008
Discuss Article
Looking forward to the return of Chev Chelios in Crank 2: High Voltage? Wondering how in the world the filmmakers will pull it off?

If you answered "yes" to both questions, and don't have an allergy to spoilers, then TheBadandUgly has just the advance scoop you're looking for. Citing what looks like a casting call, the site serves up a story outline, a description of the film's main villain, and the all-important phrase (in all caps, even) MUST BE OKAY WITH NUDITY.

Intrigued? You know you are. Follow the link below!

I was kinda hoping it would give away the ending so I wouldn't have to bother watching it :\

This is not exactly new. It only has mild spoilers. Kind of like the ones used in Trailers. But still. I want to

Please don't hate on Crank. I can agree they should have left as is but I'm still gonna go see 2 just in case it's as fun as the first.

The first was nothing short of a fun adventure. I loved it. I am amped for a second. Spoilers or not, I will see this.

IMHO, Crank was one of the worst movies ever committed to film. In fact, I now use it as my benchmark for bad movies as in, "Well, it wasn't CRANK bad, but it was bad...". I loved Transporter, liked Transporter 2, but I hated Crank and I will do everything within my power to convince people to avoid Crank 2.

Crank was a very fun little film and I loved it but I can understand why some people wouldn't like such an outlandish film. I guess instead of watching Crank 2 those people can unbunch their ovaries and watch a Sex in the City marathon.

Honestly it was a testosterone exploding thrill ride with no intellectual importance. So at that point it succeeded where 90% of action films fail horribly.

I mistakenly read this as "Who wants some crack?"

How disappointing.

i rented it and liked it. just mindless action like transporter. jason statham, when he's directed well(damn you uwe!!!), is really a fun person to watch.

The first had a good premise but was just ok, like most stathman action movies. Could care less about c2

Crank made me cranky. It was such a shoddy, weak and slapdash effort which failed entirely to live up to it's premise. Between that and Transporter 2, I began to hate Jason Statham - an actor I once liked.

Crank was a film I thought should be admired. It was fast, gritty and insane. Not to mention some of the wild camera shots! I mean, how could I put down a film which has the cameraman (with full heavy expensive gear) chasing Jason Statham on rollerblades while he's running flat-out on foot, or even riding a motorcycle!!?

I feel too many films these days are judged before anyone bothers to watch "the making of" sections. How can you possibly understand a film till you respect the effort given? A sequel is even more insane! Can't wait!

Gives me some hope. I was fearing this would end up being a "Highlander 2."

I disagree about your "making of" point, Scarshi. A film has to stand on its own merits first.

Is it a "spoiler" if it's about a junk film you don't care about?

Forget these clowns. We need more Cranks, Shoot 'Em Ups and Running Scared type flicks. Everything doesn't have to be Citizen Kane, it's OK to go to the theatre and have some popcorny fun.

But, Delorean, that's exactly what I was hoping for from Crank; good, dumb fun. Jason Statham kicking *** and taking names, no holds barred, etc. But the movie just didn't deliver, for me. I thought it was stupid - not dumb fun - sloppy and poorly executed. Shoot 'Em Up was a disappointment, too.

How is there gonna be a second one? He fell out of a helicopter people! Oh well, I'm sure they have some lame story ready to explain. I did like the first one, but like others have said, there really is no need for a second. And oh yeah, Transporter 2 was one of the worst films I have ever seen.
