An unlikely friendship blossoms between two misfits--Terry (David Arquette), a suicidal and generally pathetic voyeur, and Nick (Brad Hunt), his terminally ill neighbor (also the object of Terry's spying)--after Nick thwarts Terry's attempt to leap off a bridge. Drawn together by their proximity to death, the two men embark on a mission to buck the rules during their last days; bank-robbing, acid-dropping, nude bowling, and other quirky misadventures follow. Reviews for Dream With the Fishes
Grows more human before pulling off its whammy of an ending that makes the whole thing more affecting than you imagined it could be.
There was a potentially fine story there, but the filmmaker was too inexperienced to draw it out.
...a remarkably good looking movie. It’s too bad the acting and the writing don’t live up to the stunning visuals.
