6. Hamlet 2 (Dec. 23) - 63%

Although Hamlet 2 came to rest just a few shades north of rotten (at 63 percent on the Tomatometer), those who loved it really, really loved it. So let this be your guide; if you find Steve Coogan's brand of zesty, hangdog comedy hilarious, you should enjoy watching his manic high school theater teacher tear Shakespeare a new one. [Supplemental question: Does the idea of a song entitled "Rock Me Sexy Jesus" (which is eligible to be nominated for an Oscar) make you titter, or gasp in horror?]

Meh not much this week, but I am sure some where down the road I will get Burn After Reading when it gets cheaper. I am looking forward to renting Ghost Town because Gervais is the man, I also look forward to checking out Hamlet 2 because it looked kind of funny, and lol of COURSE I am looking forward to watching Death Race! It is from the genius of the Resident Evils and Mortal Kombat! (sarcasm) Actually Mortal Kombat is a terrible but fun movie, and I think Death Race will fall in that category. Man, I am looking forward to Christmas! I am looking forward to what movies I get, I remember I asked for some Kubrick but not much else, but I know for sure I am getting The Wire box set. Also I got some good rentals last week that I would like to recommend- The Fall I thought was pretty good even though I thought the movie drifted away from the story just to show off its awesome visuals, I also saw The Strangers which while I wouldn't call good I would call it a decent creepy entertaining horror movie which you don't see often but the movie is pretty formulaic, cliched, and has people making stupid decisions and yet I enjoyed it. Also what is on everyones christmas dvd watch list? lol my cousins and I always watch Jingle All the Way which is a pretty funny bad movie, Home Alone 2, and maybe if there is time either A Nightmare Before Christmas (my fav) and Gremlins, I don't know if I will watch a Christmas Story because I feel like if I watch it even more it will just hurt my view of the movie.

I liked Eagle Eye, it's not to original, but at least it doesn't try to force non stop action on you. It's not great, but it's ok.

Eagle Eye- 7.4 out of 10

I haven't seen anything else this week, but they seem pretty bad. Ghost Town looks good though. And Burn might be funny. But everything else, meh. I'll be watching the Dark Knight, which I'm getting for XMas.

"Meh" sums up this week quite nicely. I'd give "Burn After Reading" and "Ghost Town" a rental. By the way Keira Knightley looks good in anything, AROOOOOOOOGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!... Sorry, I lost control.

Seriously, I never heard of "Death Race 2000", so when I heard "Death Race" was from a guy who made "Mortal Kombat" and "Resident Evil", I naturally assumed it was another video game adaption. And why shouldn't I? I mean come on! "Death Race"?! As bad as "Mortal Kombat" was, (the film not the awesome game), "AVPR" is Paul Whoever's worst. "AVPR" was painful. I turned that garbage off 20 inutes into it. I don't know why I saw it "AVP" sucked already.

So this is a very lame week since it's Christmas week. I suppose "The Dark Knight" will be the holiday seasons biggest sell in DVD biz.

I actually enjoyed Eagle Eye, it had some good scenes in there. 27% is way to low. I would give it a 70%.

I really liked burn after reading, Brad Pitt was really really funny! And the scene when clooney shows his machine was fricking funny.

I want to see Hamlet 2, seems funny!

I hate Knightley, she is overrated!

Ghost Town was cute movie with a good heart but Gervais can do better :)

Happy Holidays to Jen and everyone at RT!!!!
"Ghost Town" is clearly the best pick this week. "Burn After Reading" and "Death Race" look like interesting choices, but for totally different reasons!
Oh yeah......I agree with Jokerboy...."Nightmare Before Christmas" is my Christmas favorite as well....:)

Same to you, HyperionChild! Good tidings and whatnot. Hope you all have a great holiday week and get all of the DVDs and Blu-rays that you asked Santa for. :)

While we're on the subject of favorite X-mas movies - look for my Holiday Movie Trivia Quiz that I wrote for RT which we'll be posting soon.

Yeah, sometimes those terrible, crappy movies can be fun to watch. The first Mortal Kombat falls into that. So does the Thomas Jane The Punisher. Horrible acting, bad plot but if I see it on TV I will stop and watch it.

And my favorite Christmas movie, and I watch it every Christmas Eve before I go to bed and Santa comes, is Die Hard.

I can't wait to pick up a copy of 'The Women'. My Ambien prescription ran out last week...

I kinda liked Burn After Reading. What I loved more than the movie is the fact I had a free ticket for it! (Not to mention I was able to see it in theaters in the Original English Version - wich is a new option were I live. Usually, I have to wait for the DVD)

I don't know if Eagle Eye is good, but I really liked Disturbia, so I'll give it a try.

Hamlet 2 is on the rental list too, just because I love the song.
