It makes sense that the sequel to 2003's hit Bruce Almighty should star Steve Carell instead of Jim Carrey. Hilarious as Carrey was, everyone knows Carell stole the show...

Really just a two hour sermon about the meaning of the story of Noah's Ark, and an exploration into the bible's deeper meanings. Which wouldn't be so bad, if the film didn't pretend to be just another family comedy...

Top Critic Often mainlining its message at the expense of laughs, this is unassuming fare that just about holds the line between floating and sinking. Carell’s a solid centre, but someone needs to tell him he’s better than this.
