Originally available in America only as a 90-minute condensed version, this boxed set brings together the full versions of THE TIGER OF ESCHNAPUR and THE INDIAN TOMB. THE TIGER OF ESCHNAPUR, based on a story written by Lang nearly forty years earlier, combines elements of classic love and adventure films to create a stunning tale. Chandra, the Maharajah of Eschnapur (played by Walter Reyer) summons architect Harold Berger (played by Paul Hubschmid) to India. During his stay, Berger falls in love with Seetha (played by Debra Paget), who is promised in marriage to Chandra. The drama unfolds as Berger and Seetha fight to be together, and creates a timeless story that has influenced countless films in the genre. Part two, THE INDIAN TOMB, features even more action, including a dangerous sandstorm, a cave inhabited by lepers, and a palace uprising. The technical aspects of the films are unmatched, showcasing brilliant color and design, as well as breathtaking cinematography. [More]
