Exploitation and horror master Larry Cohen, known for cult classics such as IT'S ALIVE and HELL UP IN HARLEM, as well as penning more commercial fare such as PHONE BOOTH starring Colin Farrell, presents this mystical murder mystery. A Catholic police detective (Tony Lo Bianco) searches New York City's occult underworld for answers to a series of bizarre and seemingly unrelated killings. In a strange twist, it's not the murderers themselves he's after -- they didn't even try to elude the law, and all are in custody. However, each had only four words to say when confessing: "God told me to." Comedian Andy Kaufman appears in a small role as a police officer who begins shooting in the middle of New York's St. Patrick's Day parade. [More]
