She thinks that the outlaw lifestyle can help her hook up with the father whom she has never met. Somewhat arbitrarily, she has determined that the long-absent dad is Frank Drake (McHattie), a desperate and bewildered middle-ager, vengeful after having been ripped off bigtime by a phone-scam tycoon (Gossett Jr.). Then there's Ziggy's devoted boyfriend Walter (Woolvett), who follows doggedly after her. These characters (and the police) chase, betray and shoot at each other, and the brisk pace never slackens, even if your sympathy for the consience-free heroine does. Partially-produced by actor Priestley, it's a Quentin Tarentino-inspired road thriller, sure, but not bad for the breed, and can sit comfortably on the shelf next to PULP FICTION. [More]
