In fact, Po's defining characteristic appears to be that he is the laziest of all the animals in ancient China. That's a problem because powerful enemies are at the gates, and all hopes have been pinned on a prophesy naming Po as the "Chosen One" to save the day. A group of martial arts masters are going to need a black belt in patience if they are going to turn this slacker panda into a kung fu fighter before it's too late. -- © DreamWorks [More]

Reviews for Kung Fu Panda
Kung Fu Panda is a solid and enjoyable film, and has been given a great presentation on Blu-ray disc.
This is easily one of the best cast animated films to hit the screens in a while.
This is essentially a classic kung fu film which just happens to be animated and populated by animals.
The DVD extras include several featurettes on everything from noodles to real pandas and chopsticks to Dragon Warrior training.
It looks great, especially in high def, and the animators give it their all, but.... (Blu-ray Edition)
How an eating disorder paunchy punching bag morphs into an accidental fighter and subsequent Dragon Warrior by default, literally and figure-atively throwing his weight around. A Jenny Craig wet dream.
