RT Review Revue: Zohan, Panda, and a New Contest!
East meets Middle East in this week's installment.
by Alex Vo | June 05, 2008
Discuss Article

Children, parents, and dudes: it is now safe to return to the theater. After last week's R-rated double whammy, the theaters are now less shoes, more kung fu. Regular RT Revue correspondent Jen Yamato is on vacation this week, so join myself taking a break from holding the boom mic, RT Editor-in-Chief Matt Atchity, and News Corp stooge David Chung as we discuss this weekend's releases: Kung Fu Panda and You Don't Mess with the Zohan.

It's Jack Black versus Adam Sandler. We discuss: Critics. Are they ready for critically endangered, obese mammals with chopsocky action? Will they spare Zohan from the same critical drubbing of Sandler's last wacky-accent effort, Little Nicky? In addition, we're introducing a contest this week! How do you enter this battle of champions and what amazing, redemption value-loaded prizes are at stake? Find out by clicking the link above, or checking out our brand-new video player. Swanky!

And remember to return for next week's RT Revue installment. It's gonna be an incredible happening: we'll chat up Marvel's green franchise reboot, The Incredible Hulk, and M. Night Shyamalan's suicide instructional, The Happening.

I am most deserving because I am the first to actually watch this video and follow the instructions. Which makes me special. And deserving. Did I mention deserving?

Deserving, too.

I disagree. I think Kung FU Panda will outgross Zohan by about 70%

I am Deserving because I base all my film viewings on the Review revues, I spend hours of lonely nights reading the tomatometer of old films, and i love free t-shirts.

Funny, I couldn't stop eye balling the shirt during this week's episode and was going to ask how to get one as soon as the vid was over. turns out I have to compete for it.

I think I deserve the shirt for this random and silly attempt for an RT Rap:

Rottentomatoes.com is the place to be,
I use the tomato meter all the time when
paople ask me which movie to see!/
Ofcourse I ain't no thief so I do what's
right,
so when they ask what's a tomato meter?
I be sure to plug the site!/
You get to create a journal and the RT Review
Revue is hella coo,
Home awesome editor-in-chief Matt Atchity
and his awesome facial hair too!/
Dave Chung is Mad Witty and hilarious so it's
neva eva boring,
along with "The Vine" and features leaves
me on this site til 3:00 in the mornin!/
It's the people and the RT Community
which make this site a hard act to follow,
a place to geek out on movies, and half
the users got a crush on Jen Yamato!!!/

*Drops the mic sfx* OOOOOoooooohhhh!!!!!!

There are so many lies in this thread. My opponents are attempting to paint themselves as the leaders when it comes to issues involving Rotten Tomatoes, and this is wrong. For example, 707PG13 CLAIMS to like Rotten Tomatoes, but I have seen the videos of the preacher it has Church claiming that Godard was crap and praising Uwe Boll. As you can see, my fellow Tomatoans, such bald-faced anti-Tomatoism reflects on the other candidates, and in this campaign you need to elect someone you can trust.

I would be honored to receave the shirt because I recomend this site to everyone when any opportunity arises and I know some of them now come on here faithfully. I have been a member for a long time now, you can't tell how long by looking me up though, because I changed my name a while back. Plus I come on here everyday and read every news article. I also check the tomatometer everyday on all the upcoming fims and even write down how much each has changed from the day before.

The reason I'm most deserving for that awesome t-shirt? Well, I'm going to be completely honest with you. Besides the fact that I come here everyday to catch up with the latest news on movies/star and the fact that I love everything to do with this site... I NEED A NEW T-SHIRT! That is why I am most deserving. Thank you.

I too, am a diehard Rotten Tomatoes fan deserving of a t-shirt. Also, I am willing to make a deal: If ever in my life I am nomintated for an Oscar, I will wear my rotten tomatoes shirt in leu of the customary tuxedo. If they let you do that sort of thing. Maybe, as a worst case scenario, I'll wear it underneath my armani duds and rip off my pressed white shirt durring my thank you speech to reveal the ratty old Rotten Tomatoes shirt I won as an eighteen year old. Or maybe I'll do it durring someone else's speech. That would be good too. A gamble on your part? Yes. There's a chance, though.

P.S. "But what about the SAG awards or the Golden Globes?" you say. I don't know. Maybe if the whole Academy Award thing doesn't pan out I could pull the same stunt there. We'll see how things shake out.

I spend most of my life either in a cardboard box, or fighting pygmies over use of said box. All this is the more difficult, as I am actually much smaller than any pygmy or midget you have ever seen.

What little money I make whoring myself out to shopping cart grannies, I spend on internet time at the local Bohemian cafe, aptly titled, "The Hobo Hazelnut."

Upon winning this shirt, as large as possible, I will be able to make many many smaller versions of said shirt, as well as a traditional Celtic kilt (I need to wear long shirts, as I hate wearing pants).

What material is left, will be used to make parachutes for our soldiers overseas. It will likely save many many lives (of incredibly small people).

I am also a Priest, trained in the old timey ways of the long-ago. This means I can grant indulgences. The lucky person who gives of me the shirt, shall be granted full pardon for their sins, and will have a much easier go of getting into heaven.

Thank You, and God Bless You (unless you vote against me).

-Tom=

Why am I deserving of a ROTTEN Tomatoes shirt? I'll keep this short and sweet: Cuz' I'm rotten.

So...I'll take that shirt in a large. Thanks and goodnight.

I belive I am deserving of the honorable Rotten tomatoes t-shirt becauase I have a habit of checking the website on mondays to see if any reviews are in. It is a sad, sad thing. But I trust rotten tomatoes so completely that I need to know if a movie is worthy of a fresh rating! Just like I was debating on whether to see Zohan or Kung Fu Panda. I have chosen Panda mostly because Rotten Tomatoes great culmination of reviewers and bottom line decisions has wittily guided me to the realization that Zohan will be stupid and Kung Fu Panda will be funny and have beautiful animation. Thank you Rotten Tomatoes and I hope continue your valiant crusade of warning people of the dangers of rotten movies!!! (and sending me one of those awesome RT t-****s)

I deserve it because I've been a member longer than Mr. Editor in Chief and Jen Yamato. This July will be my 5 year anniversary as a member: Dedication. But am I going to get the t-shirt, probably not.
Prove me wrong
