They live by liberating crates from the backs of trucks and by minor shoplifting -- a bottle of shampoo or a jar of cream. No-nonsense Denise and husband Jimmy are satisfied with their lives, but Jon, Jimmy's partner-in-crime, steadily grows more erratic. He starts taking foolish risks and abusing his girlfriend Celia. Finally, in hopes of paying off some loan sharks, Jon hooks up with the explosive and violent Frankie, an illegal gun dealer. Against everyone's better judgement, and with a misplaced sense of loyalty to his old friend, Jimmy decides to help Jon sell the guns. But when the cops arrest Jon for beating Celia, Jimmy steals Frankie's guns to raise bail, with tragic results. [More]

Reviews for Laws of Gravity
The characters seem so real that this film could be mistaken for a documentary.
